Outlaws and Jelly Beans

This fella does wild and wacky wheelstands all the way down the 1/4 mile racetrack. First he does a series of throttle whaps and hot breaths of fire from the pipes (cinnamon-scented, by the way). Then he gets the stagecoach up on the back wheels and flies as fast as he can all.the.way. to the finish line. It's wicked fun to watch, and then he throws tons and tons of packages of jelly bellies into the already-pleased crowd.

This was as close to the man as I've ever been! It was a sweet moment. Get it? Sweet! :)

One of my Funny Car friends (a champion) shot the photo for me. I was all set to take it myself - you know how I do - but JR jumped right in and clicked away for me. The wind was really whipping, as you can see, which totally added to the picture. See how the Outlaw is smiling? Love it.

What a great time I get to have.
