This Morning

...and so after the gales the tempest the storms and blizzard of yesterday and last night - this was the sight to greet me this morning...
I didn't get far on my journey south as the A66 was closed, so I had time to then drive home and take photographs :-)

The sun shone whitegold all day but the icy air kept me indoors until the afternoon.
More images to work into paintings though - I just love those distant collections of trees against the majestic towering fells - the lean over our small fell villages in all their different moods - the trials and tribulations of humankind means nothing to them - they have their own ecosystems and their own weather systems and even their own named wind - the Helm.
