Mouths to feed?

The garden birds looked as startled as us by the snow today but unlike for us it was no excuse to hunker down. I put out extra helpings and it seemed to be appreciated. The robin usually eats a worm at a time but today was taking mouthfuls and flying off with them. Mrs B. was looking very portly around the nether regions too - can't help but wonder if she has little bullfinch buns in the oven.
