My little brothers are studying abroad this semester. One is in Austria, one in Germany. I am proud and amazed that they went to different countries. They are twins, and have pretty much been joined at the hip since they were born (although they would probably deny that).

I also studied abroad in Germany, and my middle brother studied in Australia. I know how much growing a person does when dropped into a country by yourself, where a different language is being spoken around you, and it is up to you and you alone to find the right trains, place to stay, food etc. I am very glad my little brothers are getting the same opportunity.

And it sounds like they are taking full advantage. Travelling a lot, taking some interesting classes they wouldn't normally take, meeting different people.

I got a letter from one of them today. An actual, paper, handwritten letter. I didn't know those still existed!
