Open Door
Open Door is the name adopted by a small group of people, back in 1982, who perceived the need for a day centre which would provide facilities and activities for adults with physical disabilities in North Wicklow and South County Dublin.
Open Door first opened its doors in 1984 in Fatima House in Bray. Members enjoyed a new outlook on life and benefited from the various activities being offered. Since then Open Door has developed and expanded and it is now situated in a purpose built centre on the Vevay Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow and caters for up to 30 members per day.
Over the past 28 years the activities have developed and now include art, music, physiotherapy, woodwork, computers, ceramics and gardening with photograhphy as the most recent addition to the list.
