inspired by a traditional Japanese craft
This tamari ball was a parting gift from a young Mum in the town where we used to live. She told me that the simplest versions were very easy to make but the more complicated designs were only made by masters of the craft. Traditionally, they were made from old kimonos bound with silk thread. She had made this one with old socks.
Such simple gifts can bring great pleasure.
