W***ER!
ok before you start reading i do apologise if the language deteriorates as i go, hah what do i mean if?! it will get worse.....
you see a today's shot just sparked off something that really wound me up a couple of days ago. and no it's not bad drivers (although bad driving does filter into it).....although it's more thoughtless driving than bad. see i stopped for fuel the other day and as always i had to join the queue of cars waiting for a free pump. i never seem to be able to just drive onto the forecourt and go straight to a pump as no matter where i go there are queues. now this is not my gripe. it doesn't matter what you do or where you go these days there always seems to be queues. the joys of our modern world.everything is fast this or express that yet things seem to move slower or take even longer to do as all this modern technology breaks down. and yes i know i am typing this on my home computer and posting a shot taken on my digital slr but the latter of these two is certainly a good thing. it does also make the former a necessity which proves there is always a catch!
but i am digressing (quel surprise), no what wound me up while waiting on a free pump was the ignorant bastards who think they have the right to piss about for as long as they want when they get back to their car. i mean really how long does it take to get in the car, put on your seatbelt, start the car and drive off? in all seriousness that whole process should take no more than 30 seconds and that's being generous........................but no. apparently even this simple series of actions is far too difficult for your average londoner to manage. these folk go back to their car and can quite clearly see the queue that has formed and is usually spilling out into traffic but still they don't care. this they decide is the right time to start clearing out the months worth of fast food wrappers and whatever other crap they fill their cars with. the ones that really get me are the women who have to go through their bags searching for nothing it would seem before they can move off and lets not forget the ones that then sit there while applying make up and sorting their hair. now before anyone starts i am not having a go at women drivers as men are every bit as bad. and don't bother quoting me stats on how much safer women drivers are. for one thing most of these stats are complete bollocks and secondly there are more men driving on the roads than women so you can't really compare fairly....................anyway, you also get the "teasers". these are the ones who get in the car, seat belt on and start the car and then just as you think they are about to pull away they make a phone call, or try and arrange their CD's or maybe they are just contemplating the meaning of life..................who cares, all i know is that they are not moving. arseholes!
it would seem that the fire brigade think that they too have a different set of rules to play by at the petrol station. there was a command unit sitting at one of the pumps when i pulled in and at that time they had already filled up and were just paying. so you would have thought that they would have been gone pretty quickly.....but no. i was waiting for 15 minutes before i got a free pump and these clowns were still just waiting by the pump holding folk up. they weren't waiting on anyone, they were just parked up. i was there for about 20 mins total and the whole time that unit just sat there. no thought given to any other customer. just a big F**K you we're the fire brigade and we don't care.
now i know in london, and the rest of the world, that there are far more important things going on but it's the lack of concern or consideration shown by people for their fellow (wo)man that bothers me. i mean today's blip is indicative of the behaviour of a large percentage of people in london. so many people just don't care and are so wrapped up in their own self importance that little things like being able to park your car properly go right out of the window. and again it's not the shitty parking job that is my real issue (although this prick needs a good slap for that effort), it's the fact that whoever it was obviously thinks that they don't need to follow the rules, that they are somehow special and should be afforded free reign to do as they please. fucking oxygen thieves!
again i know these are small things but it's how it all starts to unravel. first it begins with small things like parking and then it's well i can get away with that so what else can i do? who's going to stop me? in today's society most folk are afraid to speak up and that's understandable as standing for common decency can get you killed.
you know what i hate to stop here but it is just to depressing to think about. society is falling apart and the government seems quite content to sit back and watch it happen. you know i hate to bring race into it but if it was a load of white kids killing themselves on the streets of london then the government would be falling over itself to fix the situation but no what have they done? nothing. no sorry i lie, i forgot about operation trident! i shall leave you to make up your own minds on how effective that has been since it's creation.
ok no more. to miserable a topic and this kind of debate could go on forever and probably will. i mean that's all our MP's do isn't it? debate things and go on forever without actually resolving whatever they were debating to begin with and by the time they do settle on a solution so much time has passed that the original problem has evolved into something bigger and uglier.
bollocks to the lot of 'em, i'm off to find a nice cave to go and live in.
night folks.........................
