My good deed for the day, hopefully.

Found this lady pheasant stood in the middle of a 60mph road by my house with her eyes shut. She opened her eyes but didn't really react as I approached her. I stroked her and she just stood there, I noticed that she had a little fresh blood on her ?elbow? and a few feathers falling out in various places. I picked her up without a struggle and put her on the verge, both her legs seemed fine but she was a bit wobbly, she flapped both her wings, I don't think she's broken them. I picked her up and bundled her in a jumper and drove her to my house under my arm. When we got there she struggled a bit, I put her down but she didn't run away, so I've put her in our spare chicken run with some food and water, there's plenty of tree cover there for her too. I'll give her a couple of hours and see how she is, there might be a trip to the vet yet....
