Stuck in the Matrix

A large chunk of today was spent wrestling with an absolutely infuriating programming task as part of my Computer Science course. The "Game of Life", as it's called, has been displaying the correct results for days now, but refuses to get past the online testing system implemented by our teachers.

This annoyed me. A lot.
