Home alone

So day one of fending for myself and varying degrees of success!

The day had a very normal feel to it but all was to change as the wife is off on hol for a few days with the kids and Mrs D.

Got home to an empty house and to be quite honest, wasn't really sure what to do with myself. Didn't like it as it was so quiet! The dog didn't have any better ideas so went swimming in Cambridge which, for me, is bizarre. Think I pissed off the locals with my lack of lane etiquette and half doggie paddle, half walking but had a good time nevertheless.

Got home hoping everyone had returned but alas no so popped some spuds in the oven for a lovely meal of...potatos. Just when I thought I couldn't become any more useless, I managed to burn the buggers to a cinder and to the point where they would break a knife. Disappointing.

Made do with a bacon sandwich.

Now starting to worry about who will wake me up in the morning!
