Deer in the Kidneys

This is a muntjac deer, one of three that we saw in the space of five minutes while walking round the Kidneys near the River Cherwell in Oxford. We have a lot where we live in Bedfordshire, but they are mostly quite shy there, whereas these were pretty much as bold as brass.
It's not a great photo, I know, but there was no time! We were walking, and it was hard even to find the beast in the viewfinder at max zoom. Gotta try, though, eh?
