At the end of every perfect walk....

is a dog friendly pub with a view.

We joined a group of families with autistic children for a walk and picnic at Ham Hill.

I had prepared Claire for the walk in terms of what she would expect, only I hadn't taken into account how many families would turn up.

She was a little 'out of sorts' when she found out and insisted on walking on her own.

However, when we stopped in a sunny field for our picnic, luck was on our side. In the field next to the picnic was a flock of chickens.

The chickens saved the day, as Claire spent about half an hour looking at the chickens.

The walk was really nice and I think we'll be back. Especially when Rocket and Radar join us in Somerset.

The Prince of Wales pub was a welcome sight at the end and we stayed to admire the view.

And had a drink...we'll it would be rude not to.
