Liz ( in the glasses) and her husband Michael have opened a pub in our village. The locals had expressed their opinion about how likely it was that the pub would actually open for business ( and stay open). That's why Liz and Michael have called it the Flying Pig. They both work very hard and are always thinking up new ways to bring in customers - quiz nights, music nights, cream teas..

Today I pointed my bike up the hill to Dunscore for their latest venture - a knitting and sewing bee. I had a nice cup of tea and a chat, took a few pictures, and finished off a pair of gloves. Lovely.
