I met Eddie and his elevator this morning when looking for a high vantage point for a photo in the city centre and was struck by the quaintness of his makeshift "office". Lovely chap and his 110 year old cage elevator is listed, he has to get permission from Historic Scotland to paint it! He couldn't have been more helpful, a real gent.
