Liam's 10th BD!

This morning we headed out to the soccer fields for an early morning memorial soccer tournament remembering the life of a 14-year-old boy from our soccer community that passed away a couple weeks ago from a senseless shooting. The Thunderbirds played as well as a few other teams. The tournament was able to raise some money to go towards his funeral expenses. It was such a reminder that life is too short not to make the best and the most of everything that comes your way everyday.

When we got home from the tournament, we started prepping for the night ahead...12 boys filling our home in celebration of Liam's 10th BD! I went with the soccer themed Kit Kat cakes...I made one chocolate Kit Kat cake (per Liam's request) and one yellow Kit Kat cake. When everyone arrived, we all headed to Laser Quest for some good ole' laser tag. The boys played their hearts out (including the big boys, Gary & Bob) and we all headed back home in the dreary downpour of rain. Once arriving home....we filled up on pizza, soda, cake and ice cream. The favorite diet of birthday boys. Nerf guns, swords and viking gear filled some more of the time until the decibel level reached too high for our little house. That's when we decided on the backup plan...having them all get out their sleeping bags and put on a movie rental....Tintin.
