Fingers and Thumbs

We abandoned the whole ditch the dummy thing while Rebecca was going through a growth spurt/brain spurt/teething phase (still ongoing). I'm going to wait until Jeff is off work to try it again. She did manage about 10 days without one, so I'm sure we can do it again. Anyway, she's enjoying sucking on her fingers when she doesn't have a dummy, so hopefully she'll use them when we ditch it next time.

We went out to Santon Downham again today, to try to find the caches we missed last week. We managed 3 out of 4 this time. Woo!

It was a bit colder today though, so we only did a short route and didn't try to find any more.

A few Elizabethisms:

This morning, Elizabeth finished her cereal, then got off her chair and tried moving it. It got stuck "I can't move it, where's my stool?" runs off, comes back with her stool, stands on it "I can't reach it. You stand on stool mummy!" She was wanting a packet of yogurt drops which are in a drawer high up. After all that effort I let her have a packet.

Once she had them, her daddy asked her for one. She said "you have one, I have lots."

Later in the day, when I asked her to come here, she answered "I'm busy reading story mummy." And another time, when I could hear her but not see her I asked where she was. A voice came from the stairs saying ""I'm just resting here mummy." She was about 6 steps up.
