Flowering Mahonia
In our small front garden is a mahonia shrub. The leaves suffered a lot from the frost from last winter. But finally it blooms. A beautiful yellow flower truss in the week before Easter. This afternoon I could capture it in the gap between two clouds. One of those spare moments that the sun showed in full glory this afternoon.
And never ever too many 'Woohoooo's' before the week is up. Public Works recommends but just to let winter tires on your car yet. The road salt is available again and the weather forecast predicts frost at night in the course of the week and chance of hail and snow.
And why now, as I'm working this week on the beach on the island of Walcheren in Zeeland. Helping my brother to build his beach house. While last week was so ... Sigh ... ;)
(On the beach I don't have access to the Internet other than through the phone. I try to post every day a photo in my journal next week. But I've no opportunity to comment, I'm very sorry. From next week however I will catch up with you, I promise ... ;)
