Leaning...

...into the wind

It was a beautiful day but very windy and cold on top of Skiddaw, this is daughter #2 leaning into the wind while daughter #1 walks on ahead, Mrs RH was close behind us.

The summit was quite busy and not a place to hang about so we reversed our route back down over Bakestall before stopping for a sandwich in a more sheltered spot.

This has got to be the best route to the top of Skiddaw, much nicer than the 'tourist route' from Keswick.
