insomnia fractured thoughts
Without sleep the world is not a welcoming place.
Whirling thoughts of work kept me awake, then broken dreams twisted, restless dreams of all-night circus dance performances in swimming pools. I tumbled, failing at headstands on sticky floors.
Today the need for sleep claws dragging fingers in my brain, clouding eyes and intellect. My skin has a lumpen dead texture that mirrors my mind, shattered and fractured on the pavement.
