Let there be light!
When I got home yesterday, I was putting something in the kitchen bin, and noticed that on top of the rubbish were some bits of electrical wire.
Could it be?
I've been waiting for about a year to get my outside lights fixed. Brian the electrician had been and gone and connected the new lights up!
Tonight, I was stuck for a blip when I remembered that I had yet to try out the lights. Despite the strong winds, I sat on the patio (with dog, of course) and fired off some shots.
At that point, I heard a repeated ship's horn blowing from somewhere in the Minch.
Maybe my lights have been mistaken for Rubha Reidh Lighthouse........ oh, oh.
What this brings to mind is a couple of video crackers; you've probably all seen them before, but if not, check out The US Navy in the Irish Sea and also The German Coastguard.
Night all!
Edit: By the way, in case you think I contribute to light pollution - FORFEND! These lights are only on when folks are leaving/arriving; it saves them falling in the ditch.
