Preparing
This is my favourite weekend of the year, the weekend the clocks go back an hour, meaning bonus sleep ins or late but not so late nights up. Of course I woke up at "8:15" as usually, except that it was 7:15, and I couldn't go back to sleep. So being the exciting person that I am, I sat in bed and listened to a lecture. Meant I only had 15 minutes to get through this afternoon though, so quite worth it really.
This afternoon I finished that all off, and now have all my textbooks strewn around me in an attempt to get my essay finished by sheer brute force. I also need to write a blog for my church's E100 page, since I won't get a chance to tomorrow (normally it would be my day off, but I have to go to some meetings, so swapped with last Friday). But I was incredibly fidgety, and we have a whole stack of freshly chainsawed firewood just waiting to be split and stacked, so I spent half an hour or so getting some of that done.
The smell of autumn is in the air, a mixture of smoke, leaves, and just that cool edge that hits when the sun begins to sink. The sun is orange and the air hazy as smoke from (I assume) forestry burn offs fills the air. It shouldn't be pleasant, but it's the signal that winter's coming, and that makes me excited.
And now, unto the assignment.
