Threave countryside estate and castle
Today we discovered Threave countryside estate and castle near Castle Douglas. We rejoined the National Trust and were able to see around the fabulous gardens but not the house, which opens on the first of April.
There was a sculpture garden and other great sculptures scattered around. I really liked this one, but could have chosen any, as they were all so good. The house belonged to someone with my surname, William Gordon, so we have to return later for another look around, when the house is open to the public. The gardens were fabulous, 64 acres of them, in their spring glory. It was a great discovery!
