John Knox's Pulpit

Our club were out walking today in the Lomond Hills, climbing Bishop's Hill. We came down Glen Vale, and saw this rock formation and cave, which is known as John Knox's Pulpit. Covenanters heard ministers give secret sermons here in the 17th century, though the 16-th century preacher never ventured to the spot himself.

We had a great eight mile walk; weather was sunny although sometimes a bit cloudy, but not nearly as warm as the last two weeks. Nice walking weather.
