Ellie. Mother to Mr Pink, Mr Fluff and Mr White. We took the family in when the kittens were just a couple of weeks old and the vet reckoned that Ellie was very young when she had them. Having said that she's been (and still is) a great mum to them. I think the words 'strict but fair' could be used. It'll be five years in May since they joined our household.

And yes, she taught the three of them to hunt. To see her and the kittens preparing to pounce and then going in for the kill was fascinating. These days she tends to take a more supervisory role and leaves the lads to get on with it.

Bloody freezing weather, but had a really lovely 'homely' day doing rather a lot of not very much. Rol is now on his Easter break from his PGCE course and I've got Easter week off from work. We're not doing anything in particular to mark 'earth hour' this evening - probably snuggle into bed with the lights off but the radio on.
