Not Just For The Birds

Crows or rooks or some such kind of bird are nesting noisily in the trees at the top of this picture.

They have a very proprietorial manner about them I always think at this time of year. Their chosen trees and the surrounding area become their territory for the duration.

But at ground level life goes on, and the lane is well used by humans and animals alike.
