Edinburgh International Climbing Arena

This is one of the climbing walls at the EICA - and it is flipping huge. Built inside an old quarry near Ratho, this centre is the biggest of its kind in Europe.

30m (100ft) above the arena is the Aerial Challenge: this is basically a zip-slide that the individual is hooked onto, and then left to make their way across a whole series of obstacles in the sky. It is very challenging indeed, and not one for the feint of heart (I did it some years ago - thanks for asking).

In other news: popped along to the Scottish Golf Show at Ingliston this morning - a fairly decent event with all the main players in the golfing world represented. Came home with a very healthy crop of freebies.
