Camouflaged Cubs
Son of Mine and I went on a hike to watch the sunrise this morning from Halnaker Windmill. A yawningly early start at 5am, but the promise of a flask of tea and picnic breakfast atop the hill spurred us on.
The sun even showed itself fleetingly at 6.51am to rise, albeit above a bank of clouds instead of the horizon, before staying firmly hidden for what looks to be the rest of the day. It makes a stark difference to the last 10 or so days here in Sussex, where we have woken up to gloriously blue skies and temperatures of up to 21ºc.
Oh, of course, I know why the weather has taken a turn for the worst! It's because it's now the school holidays. Silly me...
You can see more of the hike and sunrise here.
Blipping is now back on schedule for me, having had to take a back seat through March with the last few weeks of rehearsals and the performances of The Gingerbread Lady. You'll be pleased/digusted/annoyed/bored* to know that I did however manage to take at least one crap snap each day, which I have now loaded up as back blips... please feel free to view/ignore* at your leisure!
I'm looking forward to getting commenting on your lovely journals back on schedule too, now I am 'resting', dahlings!
