SP of a happy skier

Not sure if you can tell it from the picture but I'm supposed to be smiling here. I was very happy because I enjoyed skiing on the lake ice a lot.

This is definitely one of my favourite times of year. Snow surface freezes during night so that you can ski (or even walk) anywhere you want since the snow will carry your weight easily. My skis also slid better on the frozen snow than on a maintained skiing track, meaning that I could ski faster than usually and thus proceed considerable distances in a moderate amount of time and with moderate effort. That, plus the freedom to go anywhere I wanted, plus the great weather made me enjoy skiing very much.

I visited briefly the islands of Törsö and Pyöreä-Hakku and had a break at a fireplace at Pitkä-Hakku. I haven't visited any of those beautiful islands before.
