Development

This is Avenida Escazu, a new area of leisure/residential/offices in a suburb to the west of San Jose. It's also home to Costa Rica's only IMAX cinema (and rather nice it is too!)

Escazu is one of more desirable non existent postcodes here - ex pats, celebrities, and ambassadorial residences all side by side - you get the idea...

Another new multi usage Avenida is taking shape parallel to here (with a well established hospital sandwiched in between the two). I don't remember seeing any sign of this new one when I was here at Christmas, and it's due for completion next month in mid May - that's crazy fast!

Apparently the people behind this one, are the folks who are bringing Starbucks to this, the king of coffee producing nations! (me, biased? Never! :P)
