What is this?

Today some sweet pea seeds were planted in the cardboard tubes I had been saving for weeks! (and had to rescue from the recycling box once or twice) !
One seed per tube. It really took such a little time and effort, and if they germinate successfully the whole tube can be planted into the garden later on. Then months of beautiful sweet pea flowers and wonderful scent will follow!
I was intending to go out and find something interesting to turn into my blip for the day, but as I was planting I remembered that this blipblog should be a record of what we are doing day by day - and so here are my efforts this afternoon!
