Phooooooneshot
I've seen a couple of these on blip. I figure the fascination has something to do with the weirdness of accumulating such a bunch of.. well.. stuff really.. Cellphones in this case.
Been hooking up various of these things with different results for some time now. It seems i got one going again. Ironically this phone was also the first and only phone of this whole batch that actually seems to work.
we have:
The Nokia 9500 communicator. Great for other projects, it's got WiFi, but no real linux fanboy. Could send sms, but not read them, because only the sim-mem was reachable.
The Motorola Talkabout. Very old, basic phone. No standard cables/connection available. There is one under the battery, but cables werent available
Nokia 8210: No support when i tried it round 2000 with a straange cable. Phone not working too well for debugging now, and the cable is missing.
Motorola L6: seems to do the same as the communicator: can't read sms from the funky folders
Nokia 1100 and 3330: got them from a friend today. Too bad i have no cables for them, although a friend of mine prolly got a behind-the-battery cable for the 3330. will see later how that works
Siemens s55: too broken for debugging. should work with linux by the way
Siemens m35: i have no cable for it, might work.
Alcatel unknown: no cable, no connection
well. that prolly was the most uninteresting thing you read today. Congrats on reaching this final sentence!
