I is for Insect
I is for Insect and what else could it be from, me but a ladybird? This is week nine of the PontyCyclopes alphabet challenge.
Coccinellidae covers a family of beetles known in the United Kingdom as Ladybirds; they are sometimes called Ladybugs in North America. Other names include Ladybird Beetles, Lady Beetles, Lady Cow and Lady Fly; take your pick.
The ladybird is a beetle and is from the Coccinelli species, which means it is a small insect; it comes in a variety of colours including red, yellow and orange; usually with black spots.

A nice day here, but cooler as predicted, so not as warm as earlier in the week. My grandchildren finish school today at lunchtime ready for the Easter break so next week I will be looking after them for some of the time - cooking, playing Risk and no doubt doing many other things. They will be revising for their exams for some of the time and I will be marking scripts and dealing with students.
