The artillery man and the fighting machine

- The Martians! They were inside the goods of machines they'd made - massive metal things on legs! Giant machines that walked - they attacked us! They wiped us out!

- Fighting machines! Picking up men and bashing 'em against trees. Just hunks of metal, but they knew exactly what they were doing.

Forgive my overactive imagination .. We live right near a massive housing development and on our way to the supermarket, all this JCB machinery was digging / beeping / rumbling all around us and this dialogue was all that went through my mind! Now I must listen!!
