Lunchtime at St Magnus

Working in Kirkwall today. Gorgeous sunny day and I took the opportunity to head for St Magnus Cathedral at lunchtime. My intention was to see if I could get some shafts of light through the stained glass. But, the cathedral was closed. Which is very unusual. However I wandered around the outside of the cathedral, through the graveyard. Which gave so many opportunities for pics that it was difficult to choose.

It had to be this one of the side door. If you look closely you will see an orange mug at the bottom of the door pillar. I reckon this is the reason the cathedral was closed, everyone likes a cuppa in the sunshine.
