Birds Eye View

Primula farinosa, also known as the Birds Eye Primrose. Common in the Alps and a rare British native, not difficult to grow but does not like to dry out completely. I raised these from seed gifted to me by Austrian alpine gardener Franz Hadacek a few years ago. It gets its name from the white powder, the farina, on the leaves.

The flowers bring back good memories of holidays walking in the mountains.
