~Cormorant At Sunset~

~Phalacrocorax olivaceus~

Went up to Saddlebrooke Ranch this evening.
In hopes of getting some late afternoon photographs.
There is a small man-made lake on the property.
Lots of fish, turtles, and mosquitos (got my bug spray out)!
Only two other lake dwellers could be found.
This Cormorant and a beautiful Great Blue Heron.
The Heron was not as accommodating as the Cormorant.
I will have to return to get some images of him.
Perhaps I will slip into a female heron suit, to get closer.
Or maybe I will scuba dive across the lake.
Then pop up in front of him and take his picture.
Of course I must be quick with the camera.
Because it is very possible he will die of a heart attack.
Oh, that is a bad idea, I'll stick with the girlie bird suit!
