Small objects of desire Mk.3.

I have added to the growing pile of trumpery. When myself and Mrs.5 downsize, I think we will need to find a place with flexible walls. That is why I keep my trumpery down to a more manageable size, postcards are very good, but their ephemeral beauty, especially Edwardian, draws me.
I always wanted an exposure meter. When I started out, I bought a Zenith E, which had a sort of in-built meter, which worked very well. The thought had occurred to me that, it would be easier to set up the bracketing switch on the Nikon. That wouldn't be half as impressive as taking a reading up close to the object of focus. I expect it will be amongst the stuff that goes to the tip when I shuffle off this mortal coil. Not if number 1 daughter has a hand in it. I have made her the official custodian of the trumpery. I'm sure she will dispose of it in a sympathetic nature.
The small object of desire is a Hanimex Sekonic exposure meter, not the Rolls Royce of exposure meters, but very well made, encased in a good quality leather case, and made in Sydney, Australia. Not bad for something as functional, beautiful and economic. £3. As my dad would have said, "A gift a half the price."
Adios.
