The Museum of London recently conducted some research and found that 80% of Londoners do not understand Cockney rhyming slang. It found that other forms of modern slang are becoming more popular, like the gem that is 'innit'. A colleague's five-year-old son asked 'Mummy, how do you spell innit'. A sign of modern times and the evolution of the English language.

I thought this newspaper headline was appropriate for today.
