An interesting and thought provoking evening in St Peters Church in Hove with Peter Tatchell, international campaigner for all things wrong with fairness in the world. This, one his most passionate topics, gay marriage rights, and the reasons why civil partnerships just don't cut the mustard.

The most crucial bit I took from it was that if you have a partner of the same sex and have been for say, 50 years, and are 'married' with a civil partnership, your partner is still NOT next of kin, and not entitled to the marital home. This is very unfair. I'll be signing the petition.
