Texas Bluebonnets

Texas Bluebonnet - A hardy winter annual native to Texas. Adopted as the "State Flower of Texas", this is the most commonly seen variety along roadsides and in uncultivated pastures throughout the state.

The Texas Bluebonnets are in full bloom in our area and I have spotted them all along my drive to work. I've been looking for some close to home and today was my lucky day! Not only did I spot them a very short distance from my house, but the sun was behind the clouds giving me some nice diffuse light for my shots.
