Danny the Doorman...

Doorman is probably a mis-appropriation. Danny here, I'm assuming is the concierge of the Caledonian Hotel in Edinburgh. This portrait of a sort of stranger (I say sort of because I see him every day I go to work and I daresay without any help at all, anyone from Edinburgh could tell me where to find him) was a lot easier as I was explaining to him about the assignment and asking permission to take the photo I assumed correctly that he did get asked for photos all the time.

What surprised me was that he's only been doing this for about 4 years. He looks surprisingly like Charlie who has been doing it for donkeys, 40 odd years I think he said.

I'm not sure who it was that I blipped before but this picture is of them in action and was completely candid in that I just snapped as I passed in the street.
