Melange
I hadn't much time to grab a Blip today before starting work at 12:00. I stopped on my way into Belfast at Holywood and decided on a visit to the beach. It's fairly bleak there in terms of subject matter, even on a beautiful morning. I shot a Stena Ferry, a train and a couple of Russian girls enjoying the sun, but I felt this shot of one of the thousands of huge rag worms, some eighteen inches long, crawling through the shells and sand toward the sea was the best. It's by no means a great shot as you can only see part of the body but it reminded me of the film Dune as they slithered along, looking for the most important substance in the universe, the spice Melange.
