Peace on Earth

A trip up to Liverpool with Edgar today. We went by train which made it so much easier. A late evening walk around Albert Dock showed how much Liverpool has changed in the last 15 years. All the docks have been re-developed and the area is now lively and vibrant.

In 2010 this memorial sculpture was unveiled as a tribute to John Lennon and his legacy. I've never seen it before but I recognised it immediately. Maybe I've seen blips of it. It reminded me of my University days! I remember when he was shot and the shock of it all. His message of peace was a good one, not heeded enough.
