Got the train back from Ljubljana to Zagreb today.  Even though everything is perfectly straightforward, there is still something slightly unnerving about the train coming to a complete standstill at the border, all the engines being switched off and large groups of police suddenly appearing in the carriage.

My Slovenian colleague told me to take care of my belongings on the train as the train was 'heading south', i.e. to Serbia.  I guess robberies don't happen on north-bound trains?
