Guitar Love

Today was another icky sick day for me so I had to cancel working in Landon's class. I took it as an opportunity to finish a project I've put off for months. I got 2 Groupons months ago to convert all of my old pics to CD. I went digital in 2006 so I decided to go from the years 1998-2006 (my oldest was born in '98). What a ginormous project this was. The final count was 2,562 pics I sent off to get scanned and put onto CD! I just loved the idea of this so that I can give them each copies of the CDs/DVDs when they're off on their own. A momento of all of our family memories and all the fun times we've had together for them to browse through whenever they choose. I have a weight lifted off of my shoulders getting this done considering the Groupon we purchased expires this week. Nothing like waiting til the last minute. They had a 4-page long instruction sheet of how to package and label everything correctly so I became quite close with the UPS employees today. So nervous about entrusting these keepsakes with a carrier. Eeeeeek!!!!

This blip photo is something Liam is thrilled about. He pooled all of his BD money together and purchased himself a guitar. When he saw UPS pull up tonight carrying an Amazon.com box his eyeballs grew as huge as golf balls. God had good plans with rain this evening and canceling of soccer practices for the boys for a perfect evening of trying out his new guitar. His hopes are that whatever big brother learns on his guitar...he'll come home and teach him. I sure hope these plans work out, as I've had to have a bit of a discussion with Loren about this prior to the guitar purchase. Should I start selling tickets to their year 2022 concert now? ;)
