The Hunger Games.

I have not read the book and had no idea what I was letting myself in for. However I now understand why I keep seeing girls with long plaits over one shoulder and I have no doubt that the local archery club will be inundated with applicants on the run up to the Olympics.

Having said that it is a good film. Not 100% predictable. Nicely paced. With more depth than I expected.

We also saw a trailer for Dark Shadows which looked more like the Adams Family, and The Cabin In the Woods, but since Joss Whedon is involved I bet I don't know how it ends.
