Family Photo
I was at work today and despite the glorious weather, I contrived to spend my entire lunchbreak in a M&S fitting room. So when I got home there was a choice of shot of the wallpaper (which hasn't shrunk, excellent) or having a go at a garden pic.
Alexander spent a while communing with our neighbours, including drinking Rory's drink and inciting him to run away up the back lane. None of this was very photogenic and also I was trying to prevent further insult - possibly time we put the fences back up. Funnily enough, Dave did raise the subject... just after Fergus wandering in their kitchen (that's not going to stop Fergus though).
So as the sun was dropping I thought we'd do a timer shot so Alexander could be in the sunshine too. It's not exactly top class, but it has the air of snapshots in the family album: mummies squinting in the back yard with a bit of their heads cut off featured a fair bit in the boxes of photos we have. I'm leaning at an odd angle because, although Alexander looks small and cute, he's actually made of lead.
This line of thought reminds me that I have always found it rather pleasing that even 100 years ago members of my family took photos of their cats and put them in the album.
