Everybody wants a bit of Remo

My first proper portrait of a stranger.

Remo is a pretty enterprising guy, pulling up his ice cream van outside the main office blocks as the workers all spilled out into the Mediterranean Glasgow sun.

I tried to sneak a photo from further away of his yellow van with our office behind but he was over like a shot. I explained blipping (kinda) and offered to delete the shot if he wasn't comfortable.

Then I could see the truth. It wasn't that he didn't want a photo of the van taken. He wanted a better photo. With him in it. So I did my best. He worried that he looked like he was in the Mafia. I assured him no.

He gave me a free ice cream. "Everybody wants a bit of Remo" he said.
