On a day like today .....

....... you can see for miles from the tower of the mansion house.

I know because I finally made it to the top today with the help of MOH and a good friend.

From the tower you can see over the lake to the Braes of Doune Wind Farm.

Another direction gives a wonderful view of the Safari Park, the elephants, camels, bison, zebras, giraffes, the lions with their cubs and hillfoots in the distance.

Over the rooftops and chimney pots of the mansion house is Chimp Island with the pleasure boat on the river and the Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle sillhouetted on the horizon.

Last but not least the view over flanders moss towards Ben Ledi and home.
