No time to waste?

Silver Birch

My favourite tree. Not brilliantly focused - not so good with manual focus! Have also realised a pitfall of usin the manual settings all the time now: I forget to change the ISO back to 100 when it's been higher!

Managed another walk in the park on yet another stunning day. I'd be happy with this weather in July! Only saw one buzzard today. On Sunday we saw 5 - I suspect last year's adults and their offspring. I'm just amazed that they are doing so well here in our city! We also heard a great spotted woodpecker on Sunday, found a long-tailed tit nest I'm going to keep an eye on, and I watched a sparrowhawk mobbing two of the buzzards - the hawks are doing well here too, see them most days including a stunning view of one just catching the sun as it cruised around above me this morning - I really should take my camera out when I hang out the washing!

We've also been treated wonderfully with meals from folks in the church - asked for them this week now that Jem's mum has gone north again, and we are being royally fed! It's amazing the level of effort folks are going to for us, and we are very grateful!
